MAP is a practice as well as research (practice - as - research) using an art approach to increase the participation of young people (12-24 years) in the decision making process, and provide input to the National Curriculum and policies for youth.
A number of assistants / facilitators and young people aged 12-24 years who have been assisted / facilitated by civil society organizations and the Children's Forum in the DKI Jakarta area. Currently there are 10 organizations that are partners for this research, namely: Budi Mulia Children's Forum, Cipinang Besar Utara Children's Forum, Cipinang Besar Selatan Children's Forum, Bandungwangi Foundation, Wahana Visi Indonesia AP Urban Jakarta, Red Nose Foundation, Bina Matahari Bangsa Foundation, Sanggar Anak Akar, LPA DKI Jakarta and Yayasan Anak Budaya Indonesia.

In addition, MAP Indonesia is very fortunate to have the support and opportunity to work with Indonesian art actors as follows: Mr. Jose Rizal Manua, Mr. Eddie Karsito, Indonesian Children's Music Care Foundation, Studio Hanafi, Kalanari Theater Movement, Padepokan Ciliwung Condet, and Rumah Film Kalamtara.

In practice, MAP uses a participatory art approach to building peace. This peace formulation relies heavily on solving social problems mapped by young people about their environment. Through collaboration between facilitators and young people from partner institutions and art actors, it is hoped that a participatory, reflective and dialogical artistic process will be created.
